BBC - We tore Chelsea to shreds" - By David McIntyre
John Byrne knows a thing or two about beating Chelsea, so how can his former club QPR somehow overcome them in their FA Cup third-round encounter?
"Pick me and Gary Bannister!" he jokingly told BBC Sport.
"'Banno' and I probably couldn't run for a bus now. But we loved playing against Chelsea, that's for sure."
They certainly did.
Bannister netted two hat-tricks against them for QPR, one of them in a 6-0 mauling of the Blues at Loftus Road in 1986, in which Byrne scored twice.
It will remain QPR's greatest victory over their neighbours unless the current team achieves the unthinkable on Saturday.
Weeks before the six-goal demolition of a title-chasing Chelsea side, Byrne also hit the net in a League Cup quarter-final tussle with them, which Rangers won in a replay on their way to the final. read more »

Arsene Wenger will be hoping that Arsenal regain the fine form that saw them defeat AC Milan at the San Siro when Gareth Southgate's Middlesbrough side travels to the Emirates Stadium this Saturday. Middlesbrough will have to pull out a major upset to do the double over Arsenal, but the Gunners current league form leaves something to be desired.
Arsenal have drawn their last three Premier League games in a row, dropping points against Wigan, Aston Villa, and Birmingham. Although the run of draws was interrupted by a fabulous performance in Italy, Arsenal have seen their lead at the top of the table narrowed to two points against opposition with a game in hand.
Middlesbrough have taken a solitary point from their last three games, but still sit five points above the relegation zone. Aston Villa took a point off Boro after a contentious penalty was given to Gareth Barry midweek, and Southgate's side lost to Reading and Liverpool in the two previous weeks. read more »
Arsenal right sider, Emmanuel Eboue could be set for a move to Italian giants AC Milan according to reports in the Daily Telegraph . This is the first time I have heard reports linking the Ivorian with a move away from the Emirates but the defender come winger admits that clubs have approached Arsenal about a transfer, "Many big clubs spoke to Arsenal about a transfer". The Gunners number 27 failed to confirm his Arsenal future though as he said, "It is Arsenal at the moment. read more »
Arsenal's title push suffered a big blow as the league leaders dropped two points away at Wigan. The Gunners are now two points ahead of Manchester United, but the Red Devils have a game in hand.
Arsenal were a far cry off of the heights they reached in a 2-0 victory over AC Milan in the Champions League midweek. The Gunners didn't have a large edge over Wigan in possession and failed to manage any clear cut chances, although it must be said that Wigan keeper Chris Kirkland performed admirably to keep the fixture goalless.
Lineups:
Wigan: Chris Kirkland; Emerson Boyce, Mario Melchiot, Erik Edman, Paul Scharner; Michael Brown, Jason Koumas, Antonio Valencia, Wilson Palacios; Marlon King, Emile Heskey read more »

Playing in front of The Kop is a privilege In the three years hes been at Liverpool , Pepe Reina has adapted perfectly to the local culture and identity. He holds the clubs record for most consecutive games without conceding a goal, set at 11 games, and hes also earned the reputation of being a specialist when it comes to stopping penalties, which he displayed in the FA Cup final of 2006 and the Champions League semifinal last season against Chelsea FC.
