Performance Manager Joe Dunbar was full of praise for the players after witnessing them comfortably overcome high-flying Bristol City 3-0.
Dunbar took charge of First Team affairs after Luigi De Canio was forced to return to Italy following a family bereavement, and he told www.qpr.co.uk: "It has been a difficult day, and when something like this happens it shows you that there is more to life than football.
"Luigi has returned to Italy, and our thoughts are with him and his family, first and foremost.

I feel compelled to point out that if it hadn't been for John Arne Riise's own-goal in the first leg, Liverpool would have gone through on away goals after this result. But on the other hand, I do realize that if it hadn't been for that goal, Chelsea would have reacted more strongly after Liverpool scored here, and it would have been a totally different game. Liverpool-Chelsea matches tend to be brain-meltingly dull, but this one was the exception. The first 90 minutes were nothing out of the ordinary, but extra time more than made up for it. Barclay's English Premier League leaders Arsenal may lose their top spot to Manchester United today when the Red Devils host Newcastle United at Old Trafford. The Gunners went into the weekend two points ahead of their nearest rivals, but dropped two unlikely points at home against lowly Birmingham.
The Blues were outplayed throughout most of the 90 minutes, and Arsenal looked sure to win after taking an early lead thanks to an Emmanuel Adebayor penalty kick. However, Garry O'Connor struck back at the beginning of the second half to tie up the game. Despite constant pressure from the Gunners, Birmingham managed to hold on to take a valuable point back to St. Andrew's.

I with my Arsenal played the following matches in December of the first season:
8 games during the one month. This is famous English December when stamina of all teams is checked. This is the time when team without strong second squad players can sunk in the table. Anyway, my Arsenal overcame this hard period with honor gaining brilliant away victories against Chelsea and Manchester United. read more »
- Barnsley - QPR: FIVE TO WATCH FIVE QPR players to keep an eye on at Loftus Road tomorrow. LEE CAMP Goalkeeper Lee Camp signed from Derby County for a fee of 300,000 in July 2007. Camp had already enjoyed two successful loan spells in W12, albeit for very different reasons, prior to his summer transfer. He first joined QPR for the final two months of the 2003/4 campaign and made 12 appearances between the sticks to help the Club win promotion to the Championship.
