That game on the last day of September left QPR at the bottom of the table and the only team in the four divisions yet to have a won a game: QPR had 3 points from 7 games. Next came Sheffield Wednesday with 6 points from 8 games. QPR OFFICIAL SITE - DE Canio Comments - SATISFIED
Luigi De Canio declared himself "satisfied" with a point after seeing his Rangers side draw 0-0 with Barnsley at Oakwell on Tuesday night.
Simon Davey's men have only been beaten twice in the league at home all season, and De Canio said afterwards: "I was satisfied with my players.
"It was a difficult match, and we have to accept the outcome.
"Neither side managed to make their chances count, although I feel we probably had the better opportunities. read more »

Before I get to the main subject of todays blog, theres another topic that caught my attention today. I picked up my newspaper this morning and felt that I may have been caught in a time warp. There was a story in it which said that the city council had approved Liverpools plans for a 60,000 seat stadium on Stanley Park. This is of course great news, or at least it was when we first heard it two bloody years ago!
Now correct me if Im wrong, but the plans for a 60,000 seater stadium were already in place before our souls were sold to these two American idiots. You might remember that this was the original stadium design that they promised they would commence building within 60 days of taking over the club. read more »

Performance Manager Joe Dunbar was full of praise for the players after witnessing them comfortably overcome high-flying Bristol City 3-0.
Dunbar took charge of First Team affairs after Luigi De Canio was forced to return to Italy following a family bereavement, and he told www.qpr.co.uk: "It has been a difficult day, and when something like this happens it shows you that there is more to life than football.
"Luigi has returned to Italy, and our thoughts are with him and his family, first and foremost.
"The team was already picked, he told me who he wanted to start and how he wanted them to play. read more »
- Independent - Barnsley 0 QPR 0: Shot-shy Barnsley fail to fire as Campbell-Ryce left unrewarded Jamal Campbell-Ryce's glowing performance should have determined this game in Barnsley's favour last night. He gave the QPR full-back Damien Devaney a torrid time, but the only problem was that the Tykes lacked a striker with a fiery finish. "We've got a point but possibly with the chances we had we were disappointed that we didn't take all three," said Simon Davey, Barnsley's manager. "I think people have got to appreciate that conditions were poor. The wind was swerving round and lots of passes went astray." Istvan Ferenczi held the ball up well for Brian Howard who sneaked behind a somewhat ponderous Rangers back line and stung Lee Camp's palms with his drive. read more »

So, I got in from work last night at about 9.00 and switched on the television to watch some of the League Cup semi-final. Spurs were winning 1-0 and were completely outplaying Arsenal in every area of the pitch. "Aha", I thought to myself, "I know exactly how this is going to finish up", and so it came to pass. I watched about twenty minutes of it, and wandered off to potter about, doing other things, and when I checked back for the full time score, there it was, as predictable as the changing seasons: Arsenal 1-1 Spurs. Spurs had missed a mountain of chances, and then Theo Walcott had fluked an equalizer in off the outside of his ankle. read more »
